BAG IT: Plastic Is Taking Over The World!

Have you ever realized how many plastics you have in your house? Have you ever realized how many plastic you use in each day? I've never realized that plastic almost lives my life, until I watched this documentary movie about plastic: BAG IT.

A documentary movie by a bearded man, who nearly became a father in the movie, Jeb Berrier, opened my eyes to see about something that has never crossed my mind would be able to control and drive the world into the end. Movies I usually watch give such kind a doctrine that one day, robots, which are created by humans, would be the big humans' enemy in the battle of controlling the world.

The movie plot usually something like this:
Humans create robots, they live together with human, being so useful and helpful in humans' life, but suddenly they turn into wild and evil, try to take over the world and squeeze it in their palm.
However, after I watched "BAG IT", I realized that it is not robot who will crumple the world, but PLASTIC will.

Jeb Berrier and his pregnant wife explain it nicely that humans nowadays use too much plastic in their life. They use plastic bag for bringing groceries, single use and then throw it away, or even pile it up in somewhere in the cupboard, useless. Even me, or other people perhaps, usually pile plastic bags up in a big plastic bag. I collect them, even I don't know what for.

BAG IT shows us that plastic has made us cannot live without them. Our television are made of plastic, some of our house tools are made of plastic, our laptop, cell phone keypad are made of plastic, meal box, shampoo bottles, glass, rubbish bin, all of them are made of plastic. Humans even use plastic to package other plastic products. Do you see how plastic try to take control our life, now?

Scientists say plastic is an element that is not too good for human health. However, humans need too much plastic in life. They develop their research more, so they conclude that there are plastics which can be reused and recycled. They give some number in the center of a triangle to show which plastic that can be recycle, and which plastic that cannot be. In fact much people cannot get the meaning of numbers code in the plastics. Berrier made a challenge for some people to put plastics according the number code, and as the result he found that so much people get confused in distinguish the type of the plastic.

This documentary movie also studied about environmental damage that is caused by plastic. In fact, plastic garbage fulls some seas in the world and causes the death of some animals. Animals in the sea live with plastics garbage, they die because they eat plastics, or even get trapped in plastic and cannot move their body.

I do believe now that plastic tries to take over the world slowly. It has take control seas, and now it tries to attack humans' health too. It makes human get addict to use it, and control humans' life. However, Berrier gave some suggestion to win the war in the end of his movie:
1. Reduce single use
2. Buy less stuff
3. Purchase using little packaging
4. Bring your own container/bottle

BAG IT proves you that life that using less plastic will be simpler, happier, and more healthy.
